HDPE bellows,known as PE curragted pipe,is a new kind of light pipe made of high density polyethylene.It has the characteristics of light weight,high pressure resistance,good toughness,quick construction and long life.
The diameter of HDPE double-wall bellows produced in China is φ400 ~ φ1400mm, which not only requires high fluidity of materials to meet the processing requirements of equipment, but also meets the requirements of ring stiffness grade of products (S2 class is greater than 8KN/m2, for a certain material, the larger the diameter, the lower the ring stiffness value. So this brings a certain difficulty to the selection of materials. After several experiments, the Qilu HDPE2480 can meet its production requirements, but the ring stiffness of the product can not reach 8KN/m2. The ring stiffness test value at standard temperature (23±2℃) is 6.2kN /m2, which requires modification of the material and requires that without reducing the performance of the original HDPE2480. That is, under the condition of ensuring the ring flexibility, low temperature impact and notch impact strength of the product; Improve the bending modulus of materials to ensure the grade of product stiffness.
The manufacturing process for high filling modified masterbatch of large caliber high density polyethylene bellows which can meet the requirements of large caliber bellows ring flexibility, low temperature impact, notch impact strength and certain bending die.
Mixed with 30-50% D50 = 2-7 μm ultrafine calcium carbonate and 50-70% ultrafine talc powder, the composite powder was prepared.
The filling amount of modified master material made of composite powder material can reach 50% in HDPE large-diameter bellows. Under the condition of HDPE∶ new modified master material = 50∶50, the weight of the pipe with the same caliber increases only 5 ~ 6%, and its bending modulus is up to 1360Mpa. The tensile and impact resistance of the material with flexural strength of 24Mpa is similar to that of the original modified material when it is filled with 30% : the tensile strength is ≥24Mpa, and the rupture number of 10 samples with impact resistance at 0℃ is less than 1, which fully meets the quality requirements of large-caliber HDPE bellows.
Uses 30 ~ 50% D50 = 2 ~ 7μm superfine calcium carbonate and 50 ~ 70% superfine talc powder to mix into a 100-part composite powder, adding 0.2 ~ 1 part coupling agent into the composite powder and stirring for 5 ~ 10 minutes at 120 ~ 140℃. Then add 3 ~ 6 parts of white oil, 1 ~ 2 parts of stearic acid, 1 ~ 2 parts of hydroxyl silicone oil and 20 ~ 30 parts of polyethylene or polypropylene stir evenly after the material, at 150 ~ 190℃ temperature, through the parallel twin screw extruder its mixed extrusion and granulating.
In order to unify the size of the masterbatch and reduce the waste and dust in the production process, the masterbatch is cut and screened by air to obtain the same particle size.
The coupling agent is titanate coupling agent or aluminate coupling agent or silane coupling agent.
