PVC (PolyVinylChloride) has seven grades (SG1-SG7) according to the hardness and properties of the material, with a density of 1.4 g/cm³. Below SG4 are generally soft products, which need to add a large amount of plasticizer during molding. It is mainly used for making artificial leather, insulation layer of wire and cable, sealing parts, etc. SG5 and above are hard products, mainly used to make all kinds of pipes, such as drainage, electrical, post and telecommunications pipes and pipe fittings, all kinds of plates, sheets, profiles, etc. PVC molding shrinkage rate is 0.6-1.5%, has good mechanical properties, excellent electrical properties, and has self-quenching, acid and alkali resistance is strong, good chemical stability, low price, is a very widely used general plastic. But because its use temperature is not high, the highest in 80℃ or so, hinder its development.
PVC resin can be processed into various plastic products. It can be divided into soft and hard products according to its application.
